Live and work in St. Augustine, Florida, near the beautiful old town and beaches. A position for an associate veterinarian is available at our expanding five doctor small animal practice. Surgical experience is desirable.
The hospital is architecturally distinct and is a very pleasant place to work. You will be welcomed and assisted by capable veterinary technicians and a nice support staff. We have full in-house laboratory diagnostic capabilities, color Doppler ultrasound, and complete anesthetic monitors. We have digital radiology equipment for both dental and whole body radiology. We recently added video endoscopy to our diagnostic capabilities. We offer a separate waiting room and exam room for our feline patients.
Our caseload is varied and interesting. It includes soft tissue surgery and intensive medicine cases. Doctor's rounds are scheduled on a weekly basis for case presentation and to review the recent literature.
We work with several wildlife rehabilitation groups and see about 500 avian species and wild mammals each year. These range from bald eagles to otters, with lots of seagulls and an occasional sea turtle in between. If you have a special interest in avian or wildlife medicine, this area will provide many rewards.
