Best Friends Animal Hospital in beautiful Fayetteville, Arkansas (just ranked the #5 best place to live in the U.S. according to U.S. News and World Report) is searching to hire an associate veterinarian (PT or FT) that shares a similar practice philosophy of providing a very high standard of medical and surgical care for our patients. We are a progressive, small animal, multi-doctor practice that strives to offer our patients with the highest level of medicine, client education, and client services. We use Cornerstone software and Idexx lab equipment including: in-house CBC/Chemistry/PT/PTT/T4/UPC as well as DR radiology. We utilize ultrasound, dental radiography, laser therapy, and advanced monitoring for surgeries and critical care. We send all our radiographs to a board-certified radiologist. We also have a board-certified veterinary pathologist on staff approximately 70% of the time. Best Friends is in the process of becoming AAHA certified. We are passionate about soft tissue surgery, pathology, and internal medicine and provide a wide variety of chemotherapeutic agents for our oncology patients. Our doctors work in a collaborative, team-like manner, consistently reaching out to specialists for advice and referrals. We foster open dialogue between doctors about day-to-day case management, but also allow a high degree of independence with the assumption of a high standard of medical and surgical care, utilizing all available resources. We expect a successful applicant to be able to able to perform basic surgical procedures, medical work-ups and wellness care for our patients. We have from 5-40 years of experience as doctors and can provide excellent mentorship for a new graduate.
