Seeking a positive, high energy, highly qualified full time Associate Veterinarian, with a minimum of 2 year experience, to join our AAHA accredited small animal 4 doctor practice. We are located in beautiful sunny Klamath Falls Oregon. Klamath Falls is located about 25 miles north of the California border in central southern Oregon. With over 300 days per year of sunshine, surrounding lakes and mountains there is plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy. We are a very busy, fast paced small animal clinic, currently caring for mostly dogs and cats and few pocket pets. We are open 6 days a week and see an average of 60 patients per day. With the closest emergency/specialty hospital 1 ½ hours away, we handle emergencies, perform around 10-15 surgeries and up to 3-4 dentals each day. We are the only clinic in Klamath County to have our own CT scanner in hospital and a very extensive in-house laboratory. You can learn more about us at CPCKFALLS.COM. A Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university with licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Oregon with no restrictions is required. You must have or be able to attain a valid DEA license. New associate job responsibilities include: Develop a rapport with clients and determine their needs and wishes. Perform thorough physical examinations including diagnostic, medical, surgical and dental procedures in a way that will deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress, pain and discomfort. Educate clients on preventative health care, including vaccines and appropriate nutritional products. Explain physical examination findings and communicate to the client a diagnosis of the pet’s condition/needs. Generate and present a treatment plan with an estimate for the pet when necessary. Maintain client, patient medical and surgical records and make certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established hospital protocols. Assist colleagues in follow-up and future management of patients. Stay up-to-date with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine. Attend continuing education classes and complete at least 20 hours of accredited CE per year. Assist in the development of team members to ensure the delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service. Positively represent the hospital in the professional community and to the general public. Maintain a positive and professional attitude/work ethic while promoting a healthy team work environment. Benefits include; VIN and AVMA Yearly Membership Dues and AVMA PLIT Insurance Premiums. 40 Hours Per Year Paid Time Off with an Additional 60 Hours of Non-Paid Time Off. 4 day work weeks, Mon-Sat with a rotating shift. 23% commission based pay with few exceptions. 401(k) Retirement Plan include a Safe Harbor and Profit Sharing option. We share a local emergency service with 7 other clinics in town. Typically each of our doctors are required to be available 2-4 nights per month to take emergency calls and possibly see patients from 7PM to 8AM.
