Veterinary Technician

Randhurst Animal Hospital is a growing, busy 3 doctor practice. We are looking to add a compassionate and experienced Veterinary Technician  to our fantastic team who will also assist our Board Certified Oncologist. We need great techs that are willing to work hard and who work well in a team orientated environment. Responsibilities and qualifications are listed below, but are not limited to this list:

• Effective collection and communication of histories and vitals to the veterinarians
• Safe and secure restraint of patients for diagnostics and treatment
• Ability to effectively and efficiently  communicate with clients
• Surgical preparation, maintaining a sterile environments, monitoring anesthesia, monitoring pre/post op patients
• Knowledgeable with veterinary pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and preventatives
• In-house diagnostics: fecals, urinalysis, ear cytology, skin scrapes etc
• In-house bloodwork: CBC, Chemistry, Electrolytes, SNAP tests
• Dental cleaning, assisting with extractions, taking dental radiographs
• SQ,IV,IM injections
• Proficient with phlebotomy and placement of IV catheters
• Proper restraint and development techniques for digital radiographs
• Willingness to work evenings and some weekends.
