Assistant Manager

We are looking to expand out team and develop a new position to fulfill the growing and changing needs of our practice.

Required for this position:  The technician manger must have strong interpersonal relationship skills to manage the team and also be highly organized and self-starting.  In addition to organizational duties, manger must be accomplished in the care and treatment of animals in the facility.  Manager must show ability to follow directions with and without supervision, the ability to ask questions when a task is unclear and the ability to show leadership towards other techs and assistants.  The manager should also have the ability to adapt to the needs and styles of other technicians and doctors.  The manager must understand the care and maintenance needed on all equipment used in daily operations and oversee or perform scheduled and needed maintenance.  The technician manager must have the ability to provide exceptional customer service.  The Manger must also be able to manage the inventory of the facility.

 Managerial Duties:

• Act as an asst-manager 
• Act as a clinic health officer and coordinate staff injury reports with the manger
• Oversee treatment area and make sure treatments are completed daily
• Follow up with all hospitalized patients and make sure treatments are getting done in a timely manner
• Maintain all surgical equipment and instruments
• Train new employees on tech skill and overall hospital protocols
• Make sure all employees are following clinic protocols
• Assist in preparation and discussions at staff meetings
• Provide input in employee evaluations
• Be involved in the interview and hiring process of technicians and assistants
• Maintain drug and supply inventory, maintenance and ordering in conjunction with the practice manager
• Maintain compassion, sympathy and professionalism during high stress situations
• Interact with clients in an appropriate, respectful manner at all times
