Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor in Surgical Oncology

The Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, Texas A&M University invites applications for a non-tenure clinical track faculty position in small animal surgical oncology with an anticipated start date in Spring 2021. An applicant must hold a DVM or equivalent veterinary degree and must be a Diplomate of the American or European Colleges of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS/ECVS). Additionally, applicants must have completed or be in the process of completing a surgical oncology fellowship registered with ACVS.  Applicants must be licensed or eligible for regular or special licenses to practice veterinary medicine in Texas.

The Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital is a spacious facility with sophisticated diagnostic and patient care equipment, including two modern digital radiography suites equipped with PACS image storage, eFilm and OrthoviewVet templating software; complete arthroscopy capabilities; two intraoperative fluoroscopy units; surgical microscopy, image-guidance, a cavitronic ultrasonic aspirator, and a 40 slice CT, 3T MRI, and CT Tomotherapy unit onsite. In addition, nuclear scintigraphy, force-plate and kinematic gait analysis, and laboratories are available to facilitate development of novel procedures and treatments. The hospital maintains Mimics and Echopixel licenses for three-dimensional reconstruction, with easy access to 3D printers. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to interact with over 50 faculty members in the small animal hospital, and approximately 48interns and residents in the other medical and surgical services in the department.
