Associate Veterinarian

Community Pet Care Hospital is looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join our team. Established in 1988 in a suburb of Buffalo in Western New York.

Community Pet Care Hospital is a busy three Veterinarian, progressive small animal practice with five licensed veterinary technicians. Our hospital is well equipped with Idexx in-house lab equipment, digital full and dental radiology, ultrasound, companion laser therapy and AviMark medical records. Emergency clinics handle after-hours cases.

Western New York has lots to offer with Buffalo being Forbes #3 affordable city in America.   We have low housing costs, great schools, vibrant arts, professional football and hockey.   As the second largest city in New York State we get all the major concerts and plays.  Buffalo is experiencing a renaissance of its waterfront with restaurants, boardwalks, bike and hiking trails.   Buffalo is situated between two great lakes, Lake Erie and Lake Ontario.  This offers great boating and fishing opportunities.   South of Buffalo are two beautiful ski areas.  With the changing of the four seasons, there are plenty of activities to offer something for everyone.  
 
Choosing your first job as a Veterinarian is a major decision.  Your first Veterinarian position will have a major impact on how  you will practice veterinary medicine.   It will also influence how much  you enjoy veterinary practice.   The most important thing for a new graduate is mentoring.   You should not experience a lot of pressure to produce when you are trying to figure out how to take your medical education into the real world.  Mentoring is also how we assure our clients they are receiving the best care.
