Riverview Animal Clinic is located in Birmingham Alabama. It is in the foothills of the beautiful Appalachian Mountain Range which provides for a variety of green spaces and many outdoor activities. In fact, according to birminghamal.org, Birmingham is a national leader in urban green spaces with thousands of wooded acres for biking and hiking within minutes of the main city centers. Though it got its start with being known for being a leader in iron and steel production, the current leading industry is the health care field with several large regional hospitals in close proximity. Birmingham is home to the Civil Rights District which is now designated a National Monument. This summer the reviving City is host to the World Games. 
At RAC, we pride ourselves on offering patient-centered progressive care. We are Certified Cat Friendly and have low-stress handling techniques for all species in place. We are open and caring seven days a week to better serve our clients with hours of operation Monday through Friday of 7 am to 6 pm; Saturday 7 am to 5 pm and Sunday hours from 1pm-6pm. We encourage time for continuing education and offer a stipend for quality education and incentives for learning new skills to enhance your medical practice.
We are looking for a full-time veterinarian that is compassionate for their patients and that inspires a level of trust with clients to develop long-lasting relationships. Our current group of veterinarians has more than 75 years of combined experience to help with challenging medical and surgical cases. Our focus is on preventative care with early wellness testing, screening for any medical issues, and thorough management of chronic disease to improve the patients' quality of life. We offer Preventative Care Plans for every life stage for all species. We have a robust and growing clientele of avian and exotic pets including a dedicated ICU for our avians, exotics, and small mammals to decrease the stress that they experience. We do a variety of surgeries at our clinic including routine procedures, exploratories, and orthopedic procedures. We have a full dental suite including dental X-rays and equipment for special procedures like bone grafts and tooth bonding.
