SASSI is seeking a driven, self-reliant, adventurous, licensed (USDA accredited and DEA license required) veterinarian who is willing to travel outside the U.S. on 30, 60, 90 and/or 120-day deployment rotations to manage a clinic for Explosive Device Canines (EDCs) for the U.S. Government in Baghdad, Iraq. Must be U.S. Citizen and have ability to obtain security clearance due to sensitive nature of work. Protect those who protect us. Shall be a US citizen and possess a valid US passport DEA/USDA Ability to obtain Secret clearance Degree from AVMA accredited institution of medicine Shall be licensed as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M or V.M.D.) in a minimum of one (1) state within the United States Shall have a minimum experience of two (2) years as a veterinarian in a private practice or the US military Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. Excellent problem-solving skills with an analytical thought process. Shall have knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations they undergo (this includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods) Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization, including knowledge and working experience in documentation and reporting skills, with experience in maintaining canine health records and canine international health certificates. Shall have experience with a microchip program that scans, reads, and tracks canines. Shall be willing to live and work in conflict/combat areas or similar hazardous environments
