The Animal AM-Emergency Clinic of Pasadena is an independently owned, six doctor practice, and busy 24-hour Emergency and Day Practice Veterinary Clinic. We are seeking an associate veterinarian to join our team. New graduates are welcome to apply. Currently, we host Western University 3rd year students for 2-week rotations, so we pride ourselves in having a quality learning environment for veterinary students and also for our new veterinarians. Because of the nature of emergency care, we offer full-time employment with hours in the daytime, as well as overnight and weekend hours.
Our hospital provides routine care, wellness, disease management, dental & spay-neuter surgery during the day, and 24-hour emergency services including in-house diagnostics (full suite of Abaxis hematology machines, digital radiology, ultrasound), blood transfusions, critical care, and a wide range of surgery. You will be supported by our experienced technicians and RVTs ready to assist with any procedure. A new graduate would shadow our doctors for appointments as well as surgeries. We want you to grow and learn until you feel comfortable. Mentoring is built into our daily practice, with access to our President/Owner (Dr. Mohaghegh) , as well as frequent case discussion and collaboration.
The ideal candidate will be reliable, organized, have a strong work ethic, be able to multitask efficiently, be calm and collected under pressure, and have a good understanding of emergency medicine. He or she should also be compassionate, a team player, and have exceptional client communication skills.
