Willamette Veterinary Hospital, located in Corvallis, Oregon, is looking for an emergency veterinarian to join our team! All experience levels will be considered and new grads have the opportunity to join our internship program and receive structured mentorship in emergency medicine and surgery. We can also accommodate a hybrid schedule for candidates interested in both general practice and emergency.
About our clinic: Willamette Veterinary Hospital is a full-service, AAHA accredited, small animal general practice and 24/7 emergency hospital. Our state-of-the-art hospital is fully equipped with an in-house lab, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, Snyder oxygen cage, blood products, therapy laser, and CO2 laser. At WVH, our emergency doctors perform a large variety of advanced soft tissue surgeries, including all GI emergency surgeries, and some of our doctors are experienced in thoracic surgeries. It is a requirement that our emergency doctors are comfortable cutting or willing to learn emergency surgery procedures.
Our medical director, Dr. Meg Schneck, has worked very hard to create a collaborative environment, healthy work-life balance, and experienced team. Our doctors are well supported with a 4:1 support staff to doctor ratio! We have dedicated ER technicians and ICU technicians, to provide the best patient care and continuity of care. Our ER doctors rotate through a schedule of day, swing, and overnight 10-hour shifts on weekdays and weekends, averaging 10-12 shifts per month.
