We are excited to offer URGENT CARE as a NEW service lane at our hospital. This job is for YOU if you like to:
- Day or swing shifts, with NO overnights
- Provide Outpatient care only
- Take a step up from the routine of general practice
- Take a step down from the rigors of Emergency medicine
- Be a hero for your clients and referral partners
Saint Francis Veterinary Center of South Jersey - Turnersville, the world's only three-time finalist for AAHA Accredited North American Practice of the Year (2019 first place!) and New Jersey's first-ever VECCS-Certified Level II 24-hour emergency trauma center, seeks to add Urgent Care Veterinarians to our team to support expansive caseload and regional population growth. Success is all but guaranteed no matter your experience level.
Our Team + Practice:
Located in Woolwich Township and Turnersville, NJ, our 24/7/365 emergency center was the first VECCS-Certified Level II location in NJ. ICU, surgery, and all other areas of the hospital are optimally equipped to practice advanced emergency and critical care. We are also certified cat-friendly by the American Association of Feline Practitioners. Our equipment includes state-of-the-art monitoring, in-house labs, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, and a CT unit with fluoroscopic ability.
Urgent care veterinarians at Saint Francis are supported by colleagues in Emergency, Surgery, Sports Medicine, Rehabilitation, Regenerative Medicine, on-site Radiology, and Ophthalmology. Even with all these bells & whistles, Saint Francis maintains a "family feel" and we are excited to add someone great to our culture. As part of Pathway Vet Alliance, you would also have a national network of colleagues, internal CE and personal wellness programs, and a variety of professional growth paths.
Job Summary
The Urgent Care department has been designed to meet a key need in our community and hospital. We aim to provide efficient, compassionate care to patients with non-emergent conditions so that they receive great care without the wait! In the Urgent Care department, we offer drop-off appointments, limited walk-ins, and appointments for conditions such as hot spots, ear infections, lameness, gastrointestinal disturbances, urinary tract infections, and much more. Patients with life-threatening emergencies or those that need to be hospitalized are seen by our emergency department, leaving our Urgent Care Doctor time to focus on delivering quality outpatient care to their patients and clients. We stay in close contact with the primary veterinarians to ensure those patients return for ongoing care with their family vet.
Our goal is to help our awesome referring veterinary community and provide exceptional service to our loyal clients. This position will positively impact your patients, clients, and colleagues' lives!
