- Alburtis Animal Hospital is a well-established, 3 doctor, small animal practice located southwest of Allentown, Pennsylvania, in the beautiful Lehigh Valley. We have an ideal location that is within a 2 hour drive to New York City and a 1 hour drive to Philadelphia, yet we have a distinctly small town feel to our hospital. Along with the small town feeling, our clients have a tremendous amount of trust that we will provide a very high standard of medical and surgical care for their pets.

Our hospital is well-equipped with digital radiography & dental radiographs, ultrasound, in-house lab, and fully computerized medical record system with full online access from anywhere with an internet signal.
We expect a successful applicant to be able to step in and perform basic surgical procedures, medical workups, and wellness care for our patients. We expect our doctors to work collaboratively as a team, and we enjoy a great degree of open dialogue about day-to-day case management. However, our doctors also can enjoy a high degree of independence in case management with the assumption of a high standard of care for all patients.
We have good relationships with and utilize a variety of specialists, both at local and regional referral centers as well as in-house specialists as needed for more extensive workups.
Each doctor has one weekday off each week and is in a rotation to see appointments on Saturday mornings every third week. No on-call service is provided as there are several 24-hour facilities to whom we refer after hours patients.
