Hyde Park Animal Clinic and Hyde Park Animal Hospital, located in Chicago, IL, are looking for a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our team!
About our clinics: Hyde Park Animal Clinic has been a staple in the community since 1965 and our sister hospital, Hyde Park Animal Hospital, was built in 2010 and is a larger facility offering additional services. Both locations are full-service small animal hospitals that treat dogs, cats, and exotics.
Our hospitals are fully equipped with in-house laboratories, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, and ultrasound. Our doctors perform a variety of routine and advanced soft tissue surgeries and dentistry at both locations. The Stony Island location also has a rehabilitation room, underwater treadmill, cold laser, and our associate Dr. Andreu performs acupuncture and chiropractic care. We also offer boarding, grooming, and day care at our Stony Island location. Both locations are paperless and use eVet for electronic medical records.
Most importantly, we have phenomenal, experienced support staff who are crucial to the success of patient and client care. We are a tight knit group and enjoy keeping each other well-fed with frequent potlucks. We also support our community by volunteering at vaccine clinics throughout the year, examining local university students’ pets, and participating in career days!
Ideally, we are looking for someone to work at both locations and we can be flexible with the scheduling. Our doctors usually work an average of 35 hours/week. Two of our doctors treat a variety of exotic species, including pot-bellied pigs, but it is not a requirement to treat anything other than dogs and cats. Ideal qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience preferred
- Illinois Veterinary License – active and in good standing
- Team-oriented mentality that supports our close-knit family culture
- Willing to work at both locations preferred
