Washington Boulevard Animal Hospital is not your run-of-the-mill general practice. We are a well-established, full-service practice, and are equipped to see an array of cases, including emergencies, internal medicine, and surgery cases. We have been serving the dogs, cats, and pocket pets in the Whittier area since 1951 and often see referrals from surrounding hospitals, including emergency hospitals. Although we are an established practice, we have a brand-new modern building that was built in 2016. We are seeking a Full-Time Veterinarian to join our tenured team.
This is an outstanding opportunity for veterinarians of all experience levels that enjoy a diverse caseload in a fast-paced environment. New graduates can find excellent mentorship in our team of 10 doctors with many years of experience. We’re looking for a doctor that shares the desire to maintain a collaborative and innovative work environment. There is never a dull moment here!
About The Hospital
- 4-day work weeks with rotating weekends and no on-call or after hour requirements.
- Updated dental suite with dental x-rays
- Surgery suite
- 8 exam rooms
- Full pharmacy with 2 pharmacy technicians
- Designated dog and cat wards, and a separate ICU
- Digital x-rays
- Canine rehabilitation, including an underwater treadmill
- Laser therapy
- Ultrasound
- Strong support staff of 13 RVTs
Whittier, California is located 20 minutes east of Los Angeles and 40 minutes from Orange County beaches. It’s just 30 minutes from places such as Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm and other Southern California landmarks. Whittier itself is a big, diverse city with a great night life. Our practice is very much a part of Whittier’s history and community. Fun fact: the founder of our hospital, Dr. Fink, was once given an award by Walt Disney himself!
