We are seeking an experienced veterinarian to join our team as a corporate Regional Support Veterinarian in the Charlotte, NC region! This is a full-time salaried position (3.5-5 days per week, on average) and requires weekly travel to our practice locations in your regional area. Since this is a traveling role, this candidate can live within close proximity to any major airport.
The ideal candidate for this role is someone who can adapt to a multitude of practice environments and work with a wide variety of teams. This person should have a strong level of empathy and should be able to modify their approach and treatment plan according to the unique needs of each hospital’s team and clientele. A positive outlook (glass half full mentality!), a desire to help others, and strong sense of resiliency/adaptability are traits that would lend themselves to success in this role. Prior leadership or mentorship experience also preferred.
Qualifications:
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
- Hold or can obtain a veterinary license in good standing in the states in which our practices are located.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to delegate responsibility when appropriate.
- The ability to analyze complex information and make quality decisions that are respectful of the stakeholders involved.
- The ability to work with, lead, and motivate people of various personality types.
- Strong time management skills.
- The ability to conduct oneself in a manner befitting the importance of the position of Veterinarian.
- The ability to represent American Veterinary Group and the practice to the profession and community in a positive manner.
