Durango Equine Veterinary Clinic is a 3 doctor practice seeking a full time associate equine veterinarian to join our well-established and growing practice in the west valley of Phoenix. Our clinic sees a high volume and very diverse caseload. We take great pride in offering high quality medicine and a wide range of services. We are the only clinic in Maricopa county with an equine-exclusive board certified Theriogenologist, and perform many advanced reproductive procedures. We also have a successful internship program designed to prepare new graduates for general practice or a theriogenology residency.
The ideal candidate would be an experienced practitioner or a newer grad who has a strong interest in all aspects of equine general medicine and is willing to put in the effort required to service and connect with our clientele and grow the practice. We require a professional, motivated, and dedicated candidate who is dependable, has excellent time management and communication skills, and has a positive attitude.
Durango Equine is located in Buckeye, AZ which in 2022 was the fastest growing city in the US. Buckeye is southwest of Phoenix, and offers a desert lifestyle with year-round opportunities for recreation including hiking in various regional parks; catching NFL, MLB or NBA games; road tripping to Lake Pleasant and Salt River for boating, fishing, kayaking, tubing, or paddle boarding; taking a weekend getaway to Sedona or the beaches of Rocky Point; and hitting the slopes for skiing or snowboarding at Snowbowl in Flagstaff during the winter.

Our typical workload includes a 4-day work week plus alternating Saturdays, and an average of 1 weekday per week and 1 weekend per month on call.

Durango Equine Veterinary Clinic (DEVC) is a 3-doctor equine exclusive practice, located just west of Phoenix in Buckeye, Arizona. Durango Equine is a general practice with an emphasis on reproductive services. Our clinic offers routine health care and management, reproductive medicine, selective surgeries, and chiropractic medicine. Durango Equine is the only clinic in the West Valley to offer 24-hour emergency care in both the clinic and ambulatory settings, 365 days a year. We have a board certified Theriogenologist on staff for all our reproduction services. Reproductive services include cycle management and breeding with both cooled shipped and frozen semen, stallion collections and shipping, freezing semen, and embryo and oocyte retrievals.
