Busy and growing, small animal, avian and exotic animal veterinary hospital seeks full-time associate veterinarian with an interest in treating birds, small mammals, and reptiles as well as dogs and cats. About 10% of our caseload is avian/exotics, making gaining experience and confidence with exotics less stressful. We see pet birds from small to large, ferrets, a large variety of small mammals, non-venomous reptiles and some wildlife as well as dogs and cats. Each animal and client are treated as an individual. No cookbook medicine here. No vaccine packages. Vaccines and treatment recommendations are based on needs and risks of the animal. We try to practice good medicine and not excessive medicine. Our goal is to do a good job for our patients and clients and not just to squeeze money out of them. Treatment options are offered to clients as much as possible to help those who cannot afford to do everything. We all live in the community we work in and enjoy being part of that community. We consider many of our long-time clients as friends. A large number of our clients have been with us for over 2o years. In 2019 we moved into a brand new 8500 sq. ft. six exam room, building. Digital X-ray. Endoscopy. Dental X-ray. Laser surgery. Electrocautery. Hauptman spay retractors. Therapy laser. We have MidMark Canis Major lift tables in every exam room. We are located in Central Florida about 20 miles from Disney, Universal and Orlando. We have a great reputation in town and a good staff. Will happily mentor new and recent graduates with strong interest in small animal and exotic animal medicine. We see birds and exotics almost daily. Clermont has a small town feel with lots to do close by and is a great place to live. Disney, Universal, Sea World and Orlando are 30-40 minutes away. The Atlantic Ocean is less than 90 minutes away. Lake Louisa State Park is 6 miles away. If you like warm weather and want to be at a practice that allows you to use the training you worked so hard for, not practice cookie cutter medicine and not just do vaccines all day, you should consider coming to Central Florida. New grads are welcome. We will try to make your transition to practice as smooth as we can. I have been a veterinarian for over 30 years and still love my job.
