Job Description: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Practice Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of CSVH, an independently owned AAHA and Fear Free accredited veterinary practice located in downtown Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management, finance, and human resources, with a passion for animal healthcare and a commitment to our core values.

Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources Management:
Recruit, interview, and hire staff who align with our mission and values
Manage employee training and development programs, fostering a culture of continuous learning
Conduct performance reviews and handle disciplinary actions with compassion and integrity
Oversee staff scheduling and work assignments to ensure optimal patient care
Mediate internal disputes and maintain a positive, collaborative work environment
Financial Management:
Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators
Manage payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
Develop and monitor practice budgets to support our commitment to excellence
Establish and maintain fee structures that reflect our values of integrity and respect
Practice Organization:
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Manage medical record standards and hospital policies in line with our commitment to quality care
Oversee inventory, equipment purchases, and facility maintenance
Participate in strategic planning for practice growth and improvement
Maintain AAHA and Fear Free accreditation standards
Marketing and Client Relations:
Develop and implement marketing strategies that reflect our mission and values
Handle client complaints with empathy and professionalism
Manage client education and communication programs to strengthen the human-animal bond
Leadership and Team Building:
Conduct regular staff meetings to foster open communication and collaboration
Liaise with professional advisors (e.g., accountants, consultants)
Demonstrate strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
Create a supportive and nurturing environment where staff can thrive and grow
Create a culture and environment where the staff will be excited to participate in community service outings and team-building events
