Seeking veterinarians for full time or part time work!
Want a break from corporate medicine?
Want to feel good about serving your local community?
Want to help the pets in Pima County most in need of medical care?
Want to help keep pets out of shelters?
If so, look no further! Friends of PACC Community Pet Clinic is the place for you!
We are a non-profit veterinary clinic, seeking energetic, compassionate veterinarians to help us treat pets who would otherwise not receive medical care, and might face euthanasia or relinquishment. We focus on efficiency, patient comfort, client education, and sticking to the fundamentals of medicine to keep costs low.
We will work closely with PACC to provide medical care for pets in need, and keep as many pets out of the shelter as possible. We will also provide medical care for pets adopted from PACC, to encourage adoption from the shelter.
For those surgeons out there, we will be doing high volume spay and neuter (as well as some emergency surgeries such as foreign bodies and pyometras). We will have a new surgical suite with everything you need to keep your patients safe and comfortable.
Our medical practice will be fully equipped with in-house lab, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and well-trained staff. Our workflow will be largely technician driven, to save doctor time for doing doctor things. We will do some limited hospitalization for stable patients.
Our goal is to be thorough, and ensure patient comfort and quality of life in the most cost-effective ways possible.
Come join us make life better for pets and their families in Pima County!
We will offer competitive salary and benefits, as well as flexible scheduling.
Please contact Dr. Erin O’Donnell for more information and to discuss the wonderful possibilities of saving lives of pets in Pima County!
We need you to be licensed in Arizona, and have a DEA license. We would love veterinarians with experience who could hit the ground running to get us started out with a bang! We will gladly mentor a newer graduate. We absolutely require a positive attitude, solid work ethic, and the ability to be respectful and professional.
About Friends of Pima Animal Care Center Community Pet Clinic
We are a brand new non-profit, low cost, full service veterinary clinic supporting life saving mission of the Pima Animal Care Center in Tucson, Arizona.
Our ideal scenario is 4+ staff veterinarians, lots of support staff, and to be open 7 days a week.
We will be heavy on spay/neuter surgeries, and treating sick pets who would otherwise be surrendered to the shelter for lack of funding for medical care.
Our approach is to be efficient, keeping costs low by sticking to the basics of veterinary medicine, and by operating as a technician/support staff driven clinic. This translates into what we call "client light" for the doctors, empowering the staff to do the majority of client interactions and patient care, and allowing the doctors to focus on doing "doctor things."
We will have new in house lab equipment, digital radiology, surgical suite, and ultrasound to support our doctors in helping the pets of Pima County.
