St. Charles Animal Hospital in Waldorf, MD is looking for a veterinarian to join our growing AAHA-accredited practice! We are a four-doctor hospital that has been providing quality veterinary care for canines and felines in our community for 46 years. We pride ourselves on having the best medical and surgical equipment and we consider our amazing team to be a second family!
About SCAH:
Our facility is equipped with an in-house lab, centrifuges, Nikon microscope, two laser therapy machines, EKG, digital dental x-ray, digital x-ray, ultrasound, Olympus Color Video endoscope, electric hydraulic surgery table, double LED surgery light, an electrosurgery unit, surgical laser, hot water blankets, five color HP lasers, four human anesthesia machines with monitors, and four Apalert apnea monitors.
Our support staff is long-tenured with our veterinarians spending 12-16 years at our practice, our HM 21 years, our head tech 20 years, and other support staff being with us for 15 years.
Our Chief of Staff is board-certified by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners and has 51 years of experience, including extensive experience providing mentorship to new graduates!
Our team is close-knit, enjoying team-building activities, a Christmas party every year, Crab feasts, pool parties, etc. together.
We offer a flexible schedule that includes a 3 or 4-day workweek.
We have a 2:1 tech to DVM ratio and our team includes experienced LVTs. We also have 30-minute appointments.

There are no on-call or emergency hours requirements for this position as we refer to local ER and specialty centers.
Our schedule includes 2 surgery days per week (surgeries only) for a doctor interested in performing surgeries (this is not a requirement).
New grads interested in surgery are encouraged to apply! Our Chief of Staff is an experienced surgeon that loves to mentor in advanced surgery and orthopedics!
