Dogs and Cats Emergency & Specialty (DCES) is interested in expanding our relief pool of experienced emergency doctors. All shift types are available, and we are especially interested in overnight coverage!
We are interested in speaking with experienced emergency veterinarians who have an interest in working within our collaborative team to receive and care for complex medical emergencies. Relief veterinarians should have a strong ability to multi-task, have superior communication skills, and an ability to function in a fast-paced environment. We are willing to provide paid training shifts to get you acquainted with our systems and workflows, and to help you to integrate with our wonderful team. We are also willing to pay licensing fees and for travel and lodging for out-of-state veterinarians willing to provide longer-term relief.
In addition to our amazing emergency team, we have a team of specialists in Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Radiology, and Surgery. Together, our team is able to provide the most comprehensive and convenient service to our clients and referring veterinary community. Our daytime relief doctors will enjoy the collaboration with and support of our specialty team, and our overnight relief doctors will have opportunity to discuss treatment plans and transfer cases to our hospitalist and/or specialists during our collaborative rounds each morning.
We are conveniently located in Bowie, MD, within 30 minutes’ drive to Washington D.C., Baltimore, and Annapolis.
