Urgent Care and Emergency veterinarian position is available at Central Carroll Animal Emergency (CCAE), a privately and personally operated hospital by the owners/ veterinarians. We have none of the rigidity of a corporation.

Base salary of $120,000 to $185,000 plus MONTHLY production and no negative accrual. We provide a 401k with 4% match PLUS profit sharing that is in addition to production bonuses. Straight salary plus benefits packages are available for those who prefer that method of compensation. We provide health benefits  along with an HRA. We cover licenses, association dues, VIN membership, PTO, PLIT, continuing education allowance, Plumb access, personal pet discounts and uniform allowance. $10,000 relocation or sign-on bonuses available.

New graduates are very welcome as we have an established one-on-one mentorship program and the two owner/veterinarians love teaching, learning new things from other veterinarians and collaboration. General practitioners who want to get their feet wet in an urgent care/emergency setting are encouraged to join our team. We can schedule you with our experienced veterinarians, so you always have a second opinion and two more hands available to you.

Full, part time and relief veterinarians wanted as we are planning on expanding our hours to better serve this large community. This also allows us to offer a flexible schedule to experienced general practitioners or emergency veterinarians as well as mentees once they have completed our mentorship program.

CCAE veterinarians enjoy a diverse caseload and have the authority to work-up and treat patients with quality medicine as they see fit. Compassionate care allowances are available to our veterinarians at their discretion to help pets in need of care that their owners cannot afford. We also receive robust support from our referring general practices in the area.

CCAE is located about 20 to 30 minutes northwest of Baltimore in the growing suburb of Westminster, Maryland that is speckled with beautiful farms and parks. We are 30 minutes from southern Pennsylvania. We are only an hour and a half from DC and two and a half hours from Philadelphia. This area is great for the outdoor enthusiast and/or someone who enjoys city life.

In October of 2005, twenty-nine local veterinary professionals organized Central Carroll Animal Emergency to fulfill a need for high quality, trustworthy, after-hours care for their patients. They proudly opened the doors in September 2006. During the pandemic, like many businesses, CCAE felt the enormous, negative impact on staffing. To continue the mission of providing emergency and urgent veterinary care to Carroll County and the surrounding areas, CCAE was purchased by three veteriary professionals in May 2022. We are open nights, weekends, and holidays. We measure our success by meeting and exceeding the expectations of our clients and referring veterinarians. We are privileged to provide this valuable service in support of the surrounding veterinary practices.
