Albuquerque, New Mexico, Aztec Animal Clinic (Albuquerque, NM)
Where Medicine Comes First. Where Your Purpose Matters. Where You Can Grow.
If you’re a few years into practice and starting to feel that itch; the urge to do more, learn more, and be part of a team that truly practices gold-standard medicine, Aztec Animal Clinic may be the place that changes the course of your career.
For 35 years, we’ve stood as a respected, locally owned small animal hospital in the heart of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Today, we are renewing that legacy and building a team of veterinarians who want to grow with us.
Why This Role Is Different (and Why It Might Be Perfect for You)
You won’t just be “another associate” here. You’ll be part of a collaborative, skilled, and supportive medical team led by a Medical Director committed to mentorship and high standards. You’ll practice medicine the way you were taught to practice: thorough, evidence-based, and centered on the human-animal bond.
And you’ll have a voice in shaping the hospital’s next decade.
Our Core Values (and how you’ll feel them every day)
Resilience: Show Up, Grow, and Be Supported
We know veterinary medicine is demanding. We talk openly about it, support one another, and build systems that help every team member thrive. You’ll be surrounded by colleagues committed to lifting each other up, not tearing each other down.
Commitment: To Medicine, To Patients, and To Your Growth
We are dedicated to practicing high-quality, progressive medicine including preventive dentistry and we invest heavily in CE, mentorship, and your development as a clinician. When you’re ready to advance a skill, we’re ready to back you.
Professionalism: Respectful, Collaborative, Kind
We believe professionalism is not about hierarchy, it’s about how we treat one another. Our veterinarians partner closely with technicians, CSRs, and leaders to create a calm, consistent, welcoming environment for clients and pets. We do not tolerate toxic behavior.
Purpose-Driven: Medicine First, Always
Every decision we make is grounded in what is best for the patient and the client experience. We value empathy, education, and long-term relationships. You will never feel pressured to compromise care. What You’ll Do (and What You Won’t Do) You WILL… - Practice high-quality medicine with appropriate appointment times - Build meaningful relationships with clients who trust your expertise - Collaborate with a well-trained support team that loves to learn - Participate in Fear Free–inspired patient handling and communication - Expand your skills in preventative dentistry and surgery - Help shape the future of a stable, long-standing hospital
You will NOT… - Be micromanaged - Be left to struggle without mentorship - Be asked to compromise medical standards - Work in a chaotic, disrespectful environment
What We Offer - Competitive salary (base + production) - Flexible scheduling that supports work-life balance - Strong mentorship culture for early-career doctors - Health, dental, and vision insurance - Simple IRA with employer match - Paid time off + paid holidays - CE allowance - Fear Free Certification support - Discounted pet care - A practice leadership team actively revitalizing culture and teamwork
What We’re Looking For in You - 1–5 years of clinical experience (or a confident new grad) - A desire to practice proactive, high-quality medicine - Curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn - A collaborative approach to working with support staff - Genuine empathy for clients and patients - A belief that culture matters
If you are a young veterinarian who’s ready for the next chapter with more mentorship, more purpose, more alignment with your values, Aztec Animal Clinic may be exactly what you’ve been looking for. Paid on a ProSal basis

Partner Veterinarian | CatsOnly Veterinary Services

Denver, Colorado, About CatsOnly Veterinary Services
CatsOnly isn’t just here to build clinics, we’re here to lead a shift. One that makes feline-first care expected, respected, and replicated across the profession. We center the Cat in everything we do and design care and experience around the Cat and Caregiver bond. We act with intention so every visit feels safe, kind, and clinically excellent. The CatsOnly philosophy is a species-specific, emotionally intelligent, bond-centered model of veterinary care. We have reimagined every touchpoint from environment to communication, from clinical delivery to industry alignment through the eyes of both the Cat and the Caregiver, as a team. Grounded in science, behavior, and human emotion our philosophy defines a new standard in feline care.
Our mission is to inspire a revolution in the veterinary field by creating a care journey that prioritizes the patient, their caregiver, and the unique human-Cat bond. As a Partner Veterinarian, you will have the rare opportunity to shape the identity, culture, and clinical standards of your Cat-exclusive practice. If you're passionate about leadership, innovation, and advancing feline medicine, this is your calling.

Our Core Values
Trust: We earn trust by showing up, consistently, reliably, and with integrity, for every Cat, Caregiver, and fellow Care Team member. In the exam room, this looks like gentle hands, clear guidance, and follow-through. Within our teams, it means creating a culture of belonging, where servant leadership uplifts others and respect is felt in every interaction. Trust is the foundation of our relationships, and it’s built moment by moment, paw by paw.
Transparency: We lead with honesty and clarity, whether we’re discussing a diagnosis, setting expectations for treatment, or reflecting as a Care Team. Our communication is rooted in empathy and shared purpose, allowing us to align with Caregivers and one another in service of what matters most: the health and happiness of our feline patients. Transparency deepens trust and ensures no one, human or animal, is left in the dark.
Intentionality: Every action we take is guided by thoughtful consideration and a deep sense of purpose. We don’t chase innovation for its own sake, we innovate with heart, always asking: Will this make life better for the Cat and their family? Our intentional approach allows us to lead the field in feline care, one mindful decision at a time.
Experiential Excellence:: From the welcome lounge to the treatment room, we have created a space where both Cats and Caregivers feel genuinely welcome, safe, and cared for. Hospitality here means more than comfort, it’s the extra blanket in the kennel, the soft tone during a tough moment, the follow-up call that says, we remember, we care. We go above and beyond to make every experience feel thoughtful, kind, and deeply personal.
Permission to Play: We believe joy belongs in veterinary medicine. Whether we’re celebrating a healthy check-up, gently coaxing a nervous patient, or laughing with a client who feels like family, we bring lightness, creativity, and wholeheartedness to our work. This is a safe space to grow, to be curious, to try again. Our playful spirit honors the joy Cats bring into our lives, and strengthens the bonds we’ve been called to nurture.

Who We're Looking For
We’re searching for a partner veterinarian who’s not only passionate about feline medicine, but inspired by the opportunity to shape its future. This is more than a clinical role. It’s a chance to co-create a space where Cats are revered, families feel deeply supported, and veterinary care becomes a journey rooted in trust, compassion, and purpose.
You are a Cat lover to your core, someone who sees each feline as an individual and every Caregiver as a partner in care. You lead with empathy, listen with intention, and uplift those around you. You’re excited by the challenge of building something new, and motivated by the responsibility that comes with it. If you're driven by excellence, eager to grow alongside your team, and ready to reimagine what feline care can be, we’d love to meet you.
