Join Davies Animal Medical Hospital in Yuba City, California for a 2-4-week externship designed for 4th-year veterinary students seeking hands-on experience and mentorship in a state-of-the-art facility.

For over 35 years, Davies has been a leading small animal & urgent care practice in Yuba City, offering a full spectrum of care from wellness to urgent cases.

As an extern, you will have the opportunity to perform up to 100 cat spays/neuters in two weeks, assist in soft tissue surgeries, dentistry, and urgent care cases, participate in case workups and treatment planning, and learn about workflow, efficiency, and client communication in a private practice setting.

You will work with a collaborative team of 9 doctors and gain exposure to various areas such as regenerative medicine, orthopedic surgery, radiography, ultrasound, and more. This externship is ideal for students who love surgery and urgent care, value mentorship and teamwork, and want to experience high-quality private practice medicine.

We are a general practice but handle a lot of urgent and emergency cases, internal medicine, surgical cases, and more.
